The largest reseller of the Leadership Challenge program worldwide, FlashPoint "creates meaningful workplaces where everyone can achieve their fullest potential." Dan has worked with FlashPoint and their subsidiary, Sonoma Leadership Systems, for many years as a program designer and facilitator. 

Training Resources for the Environmental Community (TREC)
 Funded by a progressive and visionary foundation, TREC provides capacity building services to more than 140 environmental organizations in the western US and Canada.  Dan is Director of the Human Resources Assistance Program, providing guidance to clients on all aspects of people in the workplace 

Partners in Sustainable Learning (PiSL)
​Dan and his wife, Diann, founded this nonprofit organization devoted to bringing early childhood education to marginalized communities in rural Nepal.  Dan serves as the PiSL Board Chair.

More about Dan

  • A native of northern California, Dan has traveled extensively in the American West and visited over 40 countries in search of inspiration, adventure and service.
  • His first career was as an auto mechanic.  He is an expert on the VW Bus.
  • Dan co-owned a pioneering solar energy company in San Francisco in the 1980’s.
  • An avid outdoorsman, naturalist and photographer, Dan has led many adventures in the outdoors, including backpacking, sea kayaking and river rafting trips.
  • Dan has practiced Transcendental Meditation since 1972.  The center of his spiritual universe is Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California.
